A solid eighteen carat gold folding pill box. This is an exquisitely made piece of the highest quality. The egg is opened by pressing down on one of the opening doors, whilst using a nail to leverage up the other door from the side hinge. It is exceptionally tactile in the hand. A great size for a bag, but still has enough space to carry a number of pills. It can be filled above the half way point because one of the opening doors can remain closed while accessing the contents from the one opened door. There are no makers marks on the piece, only a 750 stamp, for eighteen carat gold. European made, circa 1970's.
