Meet "Pearl," a women's lightweight natural Open Weave Straw Summer Medium Brim Hat that is just the ticket for Ladies Tea, Church, or for everyday wear. The straw is an airy open weave in a natural straw and has tiny knots as part of the design. The brim is shorter in the back and wider at the front and sides. It is completely hand blocked over vintage wooden hat blocks and then hand sewn. It has a low and shallow domed crown (top). It is simply adorned with a narrow apple green band. An inner grosgrain ribbon headband helps protect it from becoming soiled. It perches atop the head and fits a 22 to 23 inch head.

FIT AND SIZE:
Fits a 22 to 23 inch head size; I will add a narrow headband so it has no intention of going anywhere.
HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HEAD SIZE:
Place a flexible tape measure around the widest part of your head above your ears and eyebrows, where the hat will sit. Take this measurement three times to make sure it’s accurate. Generally speaking, a small range is 20-21 inches; medium is 21 ½ to 22 ½ inches and large is 23 to 24 inches.

ABOUT THE MAKER: I have been making hats since 2004. My hats have been showcased in the Kentucky Derby Museum in Louisville, Kentucky since 2010, when I received the Judges Choice Award. I am honored to have had a hat chosen for display at The Great Hat Exhibition in London in March, 2018. I have won Best of Show at the Greater Cleveland Gallery Fest and many gallery and show awards over the years.
